OpenDeploy 6 introduces industry-leading advances for Enterprise Content Distribution,
The Interwoven Composite Application Provisioning Solution, and deployments from Interwoven Enterprise Content Management
systems.
"We push the content and the code for our servers with OpenDeploy,
and we also push our Netscape servers and our Netscape configuration files.
Everything is being moved now with OpenDeploy."
---- Henry Wreith, System Administrator, Credit Suisse First Boston |
-
The OpenDeploy Admin UI streamlines administration and execution of the
content distribution process from anywhere across the network. Administrators
can set up the environment and monitor activities anywhere at any time.
Users also benefit from the Admin UI, which makes launching, simulating
and scheduling distribution jobs quick and easy.
-
The distribution of content and provisioning of application updates can
involve literally hundreds of servers across a global network. New monitoring,
configuration and deployment capabilities eliminate barriers to large-scale
adoption of OpenDeploy.
-
Unified distribution seamlessly combines the advantages of secure, reliable
file asset distribution with delivery of structured content to databases
that drive web-based applications. This architecture builds on the OpenDeploy
foundation to efficiently synchronize all principal application assets,
including code, unstructured content, metadata, and XML-based structured
content.
-
OpenDeploy offers a programmatic infrastructure that broadens the applicability
of content distribution and web change provisioning within diverse IT environments.
The architecture includes a set of Java frameworks and sample adapters that
complement the existing Deploy-and-Run and Tuple Pre-processor extension
mechanisms.
-
The new Intelligent Delivery module is a licensed add-on to the OpenDeploy
Base Server that exploits metadata for smart distribution and syndication.
-
ContentServices for OpenDeploy is a SOAP-based interface that allows programmatic
access to OpenDeploy functions. The expanded openness afforded through ContentServices
for OpenDeploy enables incorporation of content distribution into a Service-Oriented
Architecture (SOA). The language-neutral, firewall-friendly programming
interface exposes web services using industry-standard WSDL for starting
and scheduling deployments, retrieving sender and receiver status, administering
OpenDeploy server changes, and managing offers and subscriptions with the
Intelligent Delivery module.
-
Improvements to reliability, security and usability enhance customer ROI
and accelerate acceptance of OpenDeploy as a preferred infrastructure component
within enterprise IT networks.
