Interwoven Continues Strong Momentum in the Legal Sector

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -December 15, 2003- Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the world's next-generation enterprise content management (ECM) company, today announced new customers in the legal sector, demonstrating continued strength in this key market. Leading law firms are converting to Interwoven WorkSite software to move beyond traditional document management toward matter centric collaboration in order to achieve new efficiencies, reduce operating costs, and enhance their abilities to serve clients on a global basis.

Interwoven, through its merger with iManage, has become the leading provider of content management software to the legal industry. Today, seven of the top 10 law firms in North America rely on Interwoven WorkSite for document management and collaboration. Worldwide, many firms have already made the decision to adopt Interwoven WorkSite to take advantage of Worksite's industry leading functionality for matter centric collaboration. Matter centric collaboration goes beyond traditional document management to provide an electronic equivalent to the physical matter file. This workspace provides attorneys and clients with a single place in which to access documents, e-mails, events and tasks, with views into relevant third party systems including time and billing and customer relationship management for each matter. Geographically distributed teams can access the same matter workspace wherever they are located.

"WorkSite has already proven to be the leaders' choice for efficient management of documents and collaboration," said Chris Junker, Interwoven vice president of legal sales. "By introducing a system that truly manages matters the way attorneys work, matter centric collaboration takes document management to a new level of efficiency and capabilities not achievable with traditional systems. The number of firms converting to Interwoven WorkSite is testament to the fact that Interwoven is providing market leadership in how law firms can use technology to gain competitive advantage."

New customers selecting and converting to Interwoven WorkSite include:
- Bates & Carey: This Chicago-based law firm provides legal services to its clients, including insurers and reinsurers as well as publicly and privately held corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships.
- Harris, Harris, Bauerle & Sharma: HHBS is an eminent domain and property rights law firm based in Orlando, Florida.
- Teacher, Stern & Selby: This UK-based commercial law firm has advised businesses large and small on all aspects of the law for over 30 years.

"Our business entails moving a tremendous volume of documents among a wide variety and number of individuals," said Prineet Sharma, principal at Harris, Harris, Bauerle & Sharma. "By having all content related to a matter available in one workspace where people can collaborate, Interwoven WorkSite will help us improve the timeliness and accuracy of information that is critical to our success."
