ATG to Resell Enterprise Version of TeamSite 4.5 Content Management Solution Into its Extensive Network of 180 ATG Integrator Partners and Global End-User Customer Base
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. GearUp 2000 Conference, October 3, 2000 Art Technology Group ("ATG") (Nasdaq: ARTG), developer of the ATG Dynamo e-Business Platform for online customer management, and Interwoven (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading provider of enterprise-class content management software, today announced a global alliance reseller agreement that will serve to align the two companies more firmly together. Under the terms of the agreement, ATG can resell directly to global customers, and through its extensive network of solution partners, an enterprise version of Interwoven TeamSite 4.5, bringing the benefits of a single, ready-to-deploy solution to e-businesses worldwide.
Integration of a robust content management product with the enterprise web
platform is one of the most critical issues facing organizations, said Bob
Airasian, president of BellSouth.com, Inc. We are working with both iPlanet
and Interwoven to help us build a world-class customer experience.
"ATG and Interwoven have had a long history of mutual support for each other's products. More importantly, we also have the validation from over 100 joint customers that are already implementing the Dynamo-TeamSite solution," said Jeet Singh, CEO of ATG. "This reseller agreement underscores our ongoing commitment to open standards technology and in delivering a best-of-breed solution that brings the competitive advantage of scalability, flexibility and fast time-to-Web that is critical in today's climate."
"Our extensive list of joint ATG implementations is a testament to the success of our joint offering, and today's announcement demonstrates further our commitment to the ATG Dynamo e-Business platform," said Martin Brauns, CEO of Interwoven. "We have worked very closely with ATG to streamline the implementation process for customers so they can reap the benefits of our joint solution as quickly as possible. Today's announcement is yet another way we can continue to provide our customers with the solutions they need to succeed online."
Currently Interwoven TeamSite supports the iPlanet Web Server. Integration
with iPlanet Application Server 6.0 is scheduled for completion in Q4 2000.
In addition, joint customers are able to use TeamSite to manage content contributions
to portals built with iPlanet Portal Server.
As with previous product versions, ATG and Interwoven have jointly integrated Dynamo 5 and TeamSite 4.5 software to take advantage of each product suites' new features. The integration between the new products includes full support of ATG Dynamo e-business scenarios, a framework that empowers business managers to optimize personalized customer interactions across the enterprise, and which form the centerpiece of Dynamo 5. In addition to overall integration of TeamSite 4.5 and Dynamo 5, Interwoven's new version 4.5 of XML-based TeamSite Templating fully supports the new ATG Dynamo 5 SQL adapter for database content creation and management. ATG will also resell Interwoven Open Deploy, content replication software.
