Unparalleled Guest Experience Through Interwoven's Proven Integration
with ATG Dynamo
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Aug 2, 2000 - Interwoven Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading
provider of enterprise-class content management solutions, today announced that
Target Stores, the upscale discount retailer, has chosen Interwoven TeamSite
as the content management platform to power its online business. Target.com
selected TeamSite in order to create timely and tailored content for its online
visitors. Key in Target's selection of Interwoven TeamSite was its proven integration
with the Art Technology Group Inc. (ATG) (Nasdaq: ARTG) Dynamo Product Suite
as Target's commerce platform.
"We feel it's imperative that target.com guests enjoy the same shopping experience
online as they do in our physical stores. Therefore, it's essential that our
online guests constantly see a changing mix of content," said Dale Nitschke,
president of target.direct. "ATG Dynamo is allowing us to build an unparalleled
guest experience in terms of interactivity, speed and reliability. With the
addition of Interwoven TeamSite, target.com guests will meet increasingly diverse
and tailored content each time they log onto our site, giving them yet another
reason to come back to the site again and again."
Leveraging TeamSite software's advanced workflow capabilities, both technical
and non-technical contributors in Target's online business will be able to create,
maintain and collaborate to keep content on the site up to date and fresh. XML-based
TeamSite Templating will allow target.com content owners to focus on creating
relevant, timely content, while the technical team can concentrate on continually
enhancing and upgrading the Web site. All content on the target.com site, including
thousands of product descriptions, current promotions, registry programs and
corporate information will be integrated, tested, approved and delivered to
ATG Dynamo with Interwoven solutions.
"Major retailers like Target know that static Web sites with stale content
simply don't cut it in today's highly competitive online retailing marketplace,"
said Joe Ruck, vice president of marketing for Interwoven Inc. "With the winning
combination of Interwoven TeamSite and ATG Dynamo, target.com has ensured a
compelling Web environment for its guests."
Centrifusion, Inc., a partner of both ATG and Interwoven, was selected by Target
to install Interwoven TeamSite and integrate it with ATG Dynamo for target.com.
They will also provide target.com
with training on all Interwoven products.
